The duration of a standard consultation is 50 minutes, and 1 x 50-minute consultation is $265. With a Mental Health Care Plan prepared by your GP or psychiatrist, you can receive a rebate of $145.25, which means your out-of-pocket expense per session would be $119.75.

The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc suggests a recommended fee of $315 per standard consultation.
